This project is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Mallorcan rustico house, situated in the rural countryside. The project reworks an existing plan to create a more open, spacious and light-filled living environment while preserving the character and materiality of the original architecture. The house contains three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a hobby room, and an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area that connects directly to the landscape. Large openings frame expansive views of the surrounding hills, while a generous swimming pool extends the living experience outdoors. Set on a large plot, the design strategy prioritises minimal intervention in the site, maintaining existing vegetation and natural topography to protect local biodiversity. The result is a subtle balance between rustic heritage and contemporary spatial clarity, where the architecture integrates into the Mallorcan countryside, forming a coherent and respectful dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
